This notice explains how The People Agency handles personal information submitted through this website.
Who we are
The People Agency is the public identity of The People's Development Agency, a registered non-profit organisation in South Africa (274-492 NPO). Enquiries about this notice may be sent to info@peoplesagency.org.
Information we collect
If you use our contact form, we collect the information you choose to provide: name, organisation, role, email address, optional telephone number, enquiry type and message. We do not require more than is needed to understand and respond to an enquiry. Validated enquiries may be stored in Firebase so the organisation can review and reply.
How we use it
Personal information submitted through this website is used to review and respond to enquiries, to keep a record of correspondence, and to protect the organisation against misuse of the form. We do not sell personal information. We do not use contact-form data for automated decision-making.
Sharing
Information may be processed by trusted service providers who host this website, deliver email, or provide privacy-limited analytics. They are permitted to process information only for those purposes. We may disclose information where required by law.
Retention and security
Enquiry records are kept only for as long as needed to complete correspondence and meet legitimate organisational or legal requirements. We apply reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect information against unauthorised access, loss or misuse.
Your rights
Under the Protection of Personal Information Act, 2013 (POPIA), you may request access to personal information we hold about you, correction of inaccurate information, or deletion where we no longer have a lawful basis to retain it. You may also lodge a complaint with the Information Regulator of South Africa.
Analytics
This website may use Firebase Analytics / Google Analytics 4 to understand which pages are visited and how people use the Partner With Us and contact journeys. Collection is limited to usage data. Advertising cookies, ad personalisation and ad user-data collection are disabled. Analytics is not loaded when a browser sends Do Not Track or Global Privacy Control. We do not use this data to sell advertising.
